You know what they say: What happens in Lancaster, stays in Lancaster. That's why, on New Year's Eve, the Lancaster Opera House is playing host to an outrageous Vegas-style revue, complete with showgirls, spectacular costumes and what are promised to be over-the-top superstar impersonations. Light refreshments will be available, as well as a champagne toast.
The featured performers are the husband-and-wife team Rich and Debbie Derwald. Rich Derwald is the son of showbiz royalty; his father is former wrestler and zombie rocker Dick "Dixie Dee" Derwald. On New Year's Eve, their show, "Holiday Hits," will also feature special guest Joannie Summers, a Buffalo singer who scored a hit in the early 1960s with "Johnny Get Angry."
The party starts at 9 p.m. Admission is $30 a person, or $55 a couple. For more information, call 683-1776.
