JoAnn Runvik Sept. 22, 1928 -- Aug. 27, 2005

JoAnn Runvik, a former Western New York resident, was buried in Arcade Rural Cemetery.

Mrs. Runvik died Aug. 27 in an Illinois hospital after a lengthy illness. She was 76.

She was born JoAnn Inglis in Midland, Texas. Her family moved to Holland in 1930. The family also had lived in Buffalo before moving to Attica, where she was a 1946 graduate of Attica High School. She graduated from Bryant & Stratton Business Institute in the early 1950s.

The work of her husband, Richard C., took them elsewhere in the country, but they returned to Arcade in 1980. After his death in 1991, she moved to Crystal Lake, Ill.

Her interests included swimming, golfing and volunteering at Arcade Free Library.

Survivors include a daughter, Karen Smith of Michigan; a son, Carl J. of Crystal Lake; a brother, John F. Inglis of Holland; and a granddaughter.
