Kathleen J. Cardamone of Blasdell, owner of Mobility Plus in Lackawanna, died Monday in Roswell Park Cancer Institute after battling leukemia. She was 48.
Miss Cardamone had operated her store, specializing in products for the disabled, since 1995.
Born in Buffalo, she studied respiratory therapy and emergency medical technology at Erie Community College's North Campus. She was a respiratory therapist at Children's Hospital from 1978 to 1983 and at Sheehan Memorial Hospital from 1984 to 1989.
Miss Cardamone enjoyed boating, camping and traveling. She was a member of the Lackawanna Chamber of Commerce, the Small Boat Harbor, the Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Bocce Club of Lackawanna.
Survivors include her father, Joseph J., and a brother, Michael J., both of Blasdell.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at noon Thursday in Our Mother of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 3680 South Park Ave., Blasdell. Entombment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Lackawanna.
