Lawrence Geibel died unexpectedly Sunday in his Kenmore home. He was 51.
A native of Buffalo, Mr. Geibel was a 1973 graduate of Kenmore West High School and worked for about a year at O-Cello Sponge in Buffalo.
He was a resident of St. Francis Nursing Home since 1999.
He was a Buffalo Bills and Sabres fan and enjoyed playing pool. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and its bowling league and also played baseball.
He is survived by his mother, Genevieve of Kenmore, and three sisters, Genevieve Fitzgerald of Williamsville, Sheila Laird of East Amherst and Theresa Carbone of the Town of Tonawanda.
Prayers will be said at 10 a.m. Thursday in Amigone Funeral Home, 2600 Sheridan Drive, Town of Tonawanda, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:45 in St. John the Baptist Church, 1085 Englewood Avenue, Town of Tonawanda. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
