Robert William Eichorn died Wednesday in the Homestead of Denison Nursing Home, Denison, Texas after a brief illness. He was 87.
Mr. Eichorn was born in Buffalo and was a World War II veteran. After the war, he worked as a general contractor, building houses and apartment houses, mostly in South Buffalo and the Southtowns.
He retired in 1968 and built his last home in Great Valley, where he and his wife of 43 years, the former Clara Ann Straubinger, lived until she died in 1985. In 1991, he moved from Great Valley to Daytona Beach, Fla.
Mr. Eichorn moved to Denison in January.
He is survived by two sons, Robert P. of Denison and William G. of Blasdell, and two grandsons.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Kenneth Howe Funeral, 64 Maple St., East Aurora. Interment will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley.
