Ryan M. Leffler, college student June 9, 1986 -- Dec. 22, 2005

Ryan M. Leffler, a student at Niagara County Community College, died unexpectedly Thursday in his Niagara Falls home. He was 19.

Born in North Tonawanda, he lived in Niagara Falls most of his life. He attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School last year. He had worked as a cook for Page's Whistle Pig in the Town of Niagara for three years and was taking liberal arts and sciences courses at NCCC.

He was an avid chess player who enjoyed video games and poker.

Survivors include his parents, James W. and Michelle R.; two brothers, Nicholas and Steven, both of Niagara Falls; grandparents, Michael and Kathleen McKinney, and Stella Leffler, all of Niagara Falls, and a great-grandfather, Arthur McKinney.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. today in M.J. Colucci & Son Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.
