Ronald B. Bowles of Warsaw, a retired truck driver, died Wednesday in Veterans Affairs Medical Center here after a lengthy illness. He was 67.
A native of Warsaw, he was a graduate of Letchworth Central School.
Mr. Bowles served in the Marine Corps from 1957 to 1961.
He worked for many years as a long-haul truck driver for Trans-am Trucking Co., based in Olathe, Kan. He retired in 1997.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and playing the fiddle.
Surviving are his wife of 43 years, the former Bonnie Rowe; three daughters, Barbara Andrew of Middleburgh, Kalene Best of West Seneca and Kelly of Batavia; a son, Karl of Warsaw; a brother, Rodney of Perry; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside memorial service, with military honors, will be scheduled in the spring in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Perry Center.
