Richard P. Overhoff Oct. 27, 1946 -- Dec. 15, 2005

Services were held Monday for Richard P. Overhoff, of Lancaster. Burial was in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Lancaster.

Mr. Overhoff died Thursday in St. Joseph Hospital, Cheektowaga, after a brief illness. He was 59.

Born in Buffalo, he was a 1964 graduate of Kenmore East High School, then earned an associate's degree from Niagara County Community College and a bachelor's degree from the University at Buffalo.

An Army veteran of the Vietnam War, he served with the Infantry and was awarded a Purple Heart. He was a member of the Army Reserve from 1971 to 1975.

Mr. Overhoff was a former accountant for Buffalo Fargo. He enjoyed water gardening, cooking and family vacations.

Survivors include his wife, the former Karen Hayes of Lancaster; two sons, Michael T. of East Amherst and Mark J. of Buffalo; and four grandchildren.
