>Two men face charges of felony drunk driving
Two Erie County men were charged late Monday and early Tuesday with felony driving while intoxicated in separate incidents, Erie County sheriff's deputies said.
About 8:30 p.m. Monday, Tremaine J. Halftown, 31, of Ellicott Street, Angola, allegedly struck a vehicle on Old Lake Shore Road on the Cattaraugus Indian Reservation and fled the scene.
Deputy Scott Joslyn said he located Halftown when his vehicle became stuck as he tried crossing a creek in Brant. He is due to appear in Brant Town Court.
About 2:25 a.m. Tuesday, Abner Rivera, 24, of Busti Avenue, allegedly rear-ended another car in the drive-through lane of a McDonald's on Transit Road, Clarence.
He also was charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation, according to Deputy Robert Kolmetz. He said Rivera's license had been revoked for a previous DWI.
Rivera was taken to the Erie County Holding Center, pending an appearance in Clarence Town Court.
