NEW YEAR'S GALA: Sidney Clanton and Friends will host a New Year's Eve event to benefit the 2006 Masten Jazz Festival and the A. Philip Randolph Institute of Buffalo. The gala begins with cocktails at 8 p.m. Dec. 31 in Langston Hughes Institute, 25 High St. The gala also includes dinner, champagne toast, live entertainment, dancing and party favors.
