Jack Geake of Amherst, a retired GM employee, died Thursday at his sister's home in Eden after a long illness. He was 56.
The Buffalo native was a graduate of Kenmore East High School. He joined the Marines after high school.
Mr. Geake worked for General Motors' Powertrain Plant in the Town of Tonawanda from 1970 until he retired in 2003.
He loved his dogs and enjoyed golfing.
Survivors include two daughters, Denise Marie of Cheektowaga and Michele Lynn Malczewski of Elma; his mother, Alma of the Town of Tonawanda; two sisters, Karen of Eden and Michele Rappl of Orchard Park; a brother, William of Akron; and three grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday in Amigone Funeral Home, 5200 Sheridan Drive, Amherst. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park, Amherst.
