If the new stuff doesn't grab you, here are three all-time favorite holiday records:
*Harry Belafonte, "To Wish You a Merry Christmas" (RCA): Even if you're an agnostic who believes in nothing you can't bang your head against, Belafonte singing "Jehova, the Lord Will Provide" will have you crying in your eggnog.
*Jethro Tull, "The Jethro Tull Christmas Album" (Fuel 2000): Who says holiday music can't boast serious musical chops and a healthy, irreverent sense of humor?
*George Frederick Handel, "The Messiah," London Philharmonic Choir and Orchestra (Sparrow/EMD). There's a reason every religion in the world includes music in its celebrations. Stuff this profound puts you in touch with something else, whatever that may be.
