Sheila M. Jagodzinski, a National Fuel employee, died Wednesday in the Center for Hospice & Palliative Care, Cheektowaga, after a lengthy illness. She was 53.
A Buffalo native, the former Sheila Kowalczyk graduated from Iroquois High School in 1970. She worked for 23 years in National Fuel's Seneca Resources Division as a lease analyst.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Spring Brook. She also was a member of Bridgewater Country Club, Fort Erie, Ont., and was women's golf champion there. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed sewing and crafts.
Survivors include her companion of 27 years, William E. Collins, and a brother, David Kowalczyk of Elma.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 6441 Seneca St., Spring Brook. Prayers will be said at 10 in Paul A. Kloc Blossom Chapels, 4680 Clinton St., West Seneca. Burial will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery, Lancaster.
