Robert Pitts of Buffalo, a retired steelworker, died Tuesday in Erie County Medical Center. He was 75.
Born in Fayetteville, Tenn., Mr. Pitts had lived in this area for 50 years. He served as an
Army corporal during the Korean War.
Mr. Pitts worked for Bethlehem Steel Corp. for 30 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of United Steelworkers of America.
His wife, Ruby Bryson Pitts, died in 1995.
Survivors include six sons, Robert E., Craig L., Kerry M. and Kenneth N., all of Buffalo, Bradford I. of Lancaster and Steven F. of San Diego; two sisters, Florence Parker of Buffalo and Channie Pigg of Fayetteville; and 18 grandchildren.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Thankful Missionary Baptist Church, 197 Sumner Place. Burial will be in Forest Lawn.
