>Officials review plans for athletic facilities
Maryvale School District's 50-year-old athletic facilities would receive a major face lift under visions reviewed by the School Board on Monday night.
Frank Burkhardt, of DiDonato Associates Engineering and Architecture, reviewed designs for new tennis courts, an all-weather-surface track, new bleachers, fencing and a new press box. Campus site improvements also would include new driveways and walkways.
As yet, there is no cost estimate or commitment for such a project, School Superintendent Gary Brader said.
This was the third presentation to the board by Burkhardt. Next, he will spell out recommendations for work in the intermediate and middle schools.
Brader said the board will consider all suggestions before assembling a capital project for voter consideration.
