>Blue Christmas

Christmas always makes me cry

As tears roll down

I know just why.

I think of those long gone

who once were here

to add to our holiday cheer.

My heart feels heavy

because I miss them so.

I wish that they were with us still

that somehow they might know

all the precious little ones

who have entered our saddened lives

to help make Christmas happy again

when it finally arrives.
