Raymond N. Stein, an Army veteran and Durez retiree, died Saturday in Kenmore Mercy Hospital, Town of Tonawanda, after a brief illness. He was 73.
Born in Buffalo, Mr. Stein had been a resident of North Tonawanda for 48 years. He was stationed in France with the Army during the Korean War,
Mr. Stein was employed by Durez Plastics in North Tonawanda until retiring in 1987.
He was a generous donor to police, fire and veterans charities.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, the former Mary Ann Bauer; a son, Richard of Cheektowaga; a daughter, Linda M. of the City of Tonawanda; and a step-grandson.
Services were private.
