Florence M. Brave, a homemaker, died Tuesday in Northgate Manor Nursing Home after a long illness. She was 91.
She was born Florence
Tappendorf in Niagara Falls and attended public schools there.
Mrs. Brave worked for about a year as a live-in nanny for a doctor's son before marrying in 1933. Her husband of 67 years, Warner, died in 2001.
They lived most of their married life in North Tonawanda, where they built three homes for themselves and remodeled another. They moved to Niagara Falls in 1991 and to Wheatfield Towers in 1996.
Mrs. Brave enjoyed crocheting in her spare time.
Survivors include two sons, Warner "Bud" of Plantation, Fla., and Robert of Dania, Fla.; a daughter, D. Carol Brumby of Bergholz; a sister, Elsie Landers of Wheatfield; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Services were private.
