June V. Chase, a retired travel agent, died unexpectedly Friday in her Town of Tonawanda home. She was 80.
Born June Clancy in Portland, Maine, she worked as a travel agent for 20 years, retiring from Johnson Travel in Amherst in 1998.
A member of Women in Travel, she also enjoyed reading and the arts, especially events at Shea's Performing Arts Center.
She also was a fan of the Boston Celtics and Boston Red Sox.
Her husband, Everett, died in 1982.
Survivors include a daughter, Pamela McManus of Town of Tonawanda; and two grandchildren.
Services will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday in Amigone Funeral Home, 2600 Sheridan Drive, Town of Tonawanda. Burial will be in Portland, Maine.
