What do Elvis Costello, Dave Brubeck and Antonio Vivaldi have in common? They're all featured in this weekend's Christmas concert by the Canisius College Chorale. The adventurous group, led by the intrepid Frank Scinta, is presenting a multifaceted program ranging from Vivaldi's Gloria in D to the "Pange Lingua Variations," Dave Brubeck's colorful take on an ancient hymn.Also on the program: Ralph Vaughan Williams' "The Turtle Dove," Costello's "The Scarlet Tide," a stellar arrangement of Franz Gruber's "Silent Night" and a variety of carols and spirituals.
Dont miss it. The concert takes place at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and in the Montante Cultural Center. It's free and open to all.
