Sylvia Bielli, owned drapery business Jan. 28, 1917 -- Sept. 26, 2005

A Mass of Christian Burial for Sylvia Bielli, who owned Sylvia Bielli Custom Drapery for 35 years, will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Friday in St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 135 North Ogden St., after prayers at 9 in Michael A. DiVincenzo Funeral Home, 1122 E. Lovejoy St.

Entombment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Cheektowaga.

Mrs. Bielli died Monday in her Depew home. She was 88.

Born Sylvia Wolan in Buffalo, she graduated from Depew High School.

In addition to operating the drapery business, she taught nutrition and holistic health.

She also enjoyed organic gardening.

Her husband of 65 years, retired Buffalo police Detective Sgt. Anthony A., died Sept. 8.

Survivors include two sons, Anthony A. of Morganville, N.J., and Girard of Lancaster; a sister, Jean Lang of Cheektowaga; and four grandchildren.
