Board appoints Smorol middle school principal
The Sweet Home School Board this morning unanimously voted to hire Gregory S. Smorol as the new principal of Sweet Home Middle School.
Smorol will fill the position that was left vacant in August when Joseph Zwack resigned. Zwack, who was a tenured assistant principal in the district, is now working as an assistant principal at Sweet Home High School.
Smorol has been the assistant principal at Hoover Middle School in the Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda School District for the past two years and has worked as a sixth-grade teacher in East Aurora.
His starting salary at Sweet Home will be $90,403.
