Gamma Delta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International will have a potluck dinner after a 4 p.m. meeting today in the home of the chapter president, Joan Holesko, in North Tonawanda.

The Thruway Inn Ladies Club will have their first annual flea market and spaghetti dinner beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday at 1323 Seneca St., between Bailey and Fillmore avenues. Tables are $10 each and dinners are $6 for adults, $4 for children. Call RoseAnn at 824-2033 for more information.

Kenmore United Methodist Church will host a bi-monthly story hour for children ages toddler through second-grade from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday and Oct. 15 at the church, 32 Landers Road. There will be a $1 charge per family. Children will hear an age-appropriate story, a companion bible verse and make a craft.

Niagara-Orleans District of Order of the Eastern Star will present its third annual Country Comedy Evening at 7 p.m. Saturday in Lockport Masonic Hall, Main and Cottage streets, starting with dessert and featuring Lainie and Bonnie Reid, vocalist and keyboard artist. The 50th anniversary of the 20th-21st Century Republican Club, founded in 1955 by the late Gladys Drewelow, will be celebrated Saturday in Daffodil's restaurant, 930 Maple Road, Williamsville, starting at noon with a reception. Luncheon will be served at 1. The cost is $10 each for members and guests.

Mount St. Joseph Academy Alumnae Association will have its annual luncheon Saturday in Fanny's restaurant, 3500 Sheridan Drive, Amherst. Mass at 11:30 a.m. will precede the 12:30 luncheon. Geraldine Dunford is chairwoman. Proceeds will benefit the Sisters of St. Joseph's various ministries.

New officers elected by the board of Grover Cleveland Women's Buffalo Golf Club will be introduced when the club closes its season at a luncheon at noon Monday in Sean Patrick's Restaurant. Prizes will be awarded by Joyce Weibel. Joan Runckel and Moya Peterson are chairwomen.

Missionary Herb Roberts will speak about Haiti at the potluck supper to be sponsored by American Baptist Women's Ministries of Erie County at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Brighton Community Baptist Church, 1225 Brighton Road, Town of Tonawanda. Dessert will be provided.

Chris Stravino will review a book of her choice at a meeting of Students Club of Buffalo at noon Wednesday in the home of Loretta Anker in Tonawanda. Eleanor Pitchure and Jeanne Schorr will assist the hostess.

Women's Golf Association of Springville Country Club will have its season's closing dinner with awarding of the Presidents' Cup, Most Improved Golfer award and other prizes after golf next Thursday at the club. There will be a special tribute to tournament chairwomen. Belle Butler and Carole Sedita are dinner chairwomen.

Patricia Klebes, chairwoman of the community improvement committee of Buffalo Federation of Women's Clubs, will speak about the federation's "Awareness of Breast Cancer" garden at Central Terminal at a meeting of the Honorarians of the federation at 11 a.m. next Thursday in Italian Village Restaurant, Williamsville.

The program will precede a luncheon and a silent auction to benefit the federation's scholarship fund.
