Betty C. Sullivan, retired nurse, teacher Feb. 21, 1925 -- Sept. 26, 2005

Services for Betty C. Sullivan, a retired nurse and teacher, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Zion United Church of Christ, 15 Koenig Circle, Town of Tonawanda. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda.

Mrs. Sullivan died Monday in Millard Fillmore Hospital. She was 80.

Born Betty Hagner in West Seneca, she lived most of her life in the Town of Tonawanda. She graduated from Buffalo General Hospital School of Nursing and spent her career as a surgical and registered nurse at Buffalo General, Mercy, Doctors, and DeGraff Memorial hospitals.

Mrs. Sullivan taught prospective nurses at the Erie County Board of Cooperative Educational Services and Fosdick-Masten Park High School.

She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ and the Order of the Eastern Star and was a life member of Greater Buffalo Chapter 1, Disabled American Veterans.

Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Edward J.; two sons, John E. and James E., both of Amherst; and three grandsons.
