AAUW to tour Martin House

Buffalo Branch of the American Association of University Women will tour Frank Lloyd Wright's five-structure Darwin D. Martin House Complex at 11 a.m. Oct. 29. The group will meet at Barton House, 118 Summit Ave. Betty Krist is taking reservations for members and guests, with an Oct. 15 deadline. The cost is $9 per person.

The month's study and interest groups begin Oct. 6 with Great Decisions Discussion Group meeting at 1:30 p.m. in Unitarian Universalist Church of Amherst for a program by Myra Menti, "Challenges in Iraq." American Biographies group will discuss "James Madison" by Gary Willis at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 11 in Eggertsville Library.

A new group, All About Gardening, will have its first meeting at 7 p.m. Oct. 13 in Reinstein Memorial Library, 2580 Harlem Road, Cheektowaga. Preparing the garden for fall and winter will be the topic. Janet Fowler is coordinator.

"Inside the Kingdom" by Carmen Bin Laden will be discussed by Dinner by the Book group at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 19 in Plaka Restaurant, Kenmore. Julia Piquette will be the facilitator.
