A BENEFIT for Rik Casper of Cambria, a former Buffalo State College student who has been battling a malignant brain tumor, will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday in the Tonawanda Masonic Temple, 190 Minerva St., City of Tonawanda. Tickets are $20 and include food, drink, live music and raffles.

The 44-year-old graduate of Hutchinson Central Technical High School found out for the second time in less than eight years that he had a malignant brain tumor and that he faced more surgery, more chemo, radiation and side effects that go with them. He is now on a new chemo medicine he'll have to take the rest of his life, according to friends.

People who can't attend can help out with a donation of cash, services or goods. Friends say he needs help with medical and prescription bills as well as "just plain bills" because of his illness. For information, call 876-6476 or 882-0842. . . .

A RUMMAGE SALE and bake sale will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday in Maryvale Drive Presbyterian Church, 425 Maryvale Drive, Cheektowaga. A bag sale ($1 per bag) will be held at noon. Admission is 50 cents. Parking is available at the rear of the church. . . .

GOLOMKI and other delicacies will be served from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 16 at the "Second Annual Delicious Polish Dinner" at Polish Falcons Hall, 445 Columbia Ave., Depew.

The dinners will cost $8 per plate and will include Polish sausage, pierogi, sweet/sauerkraut potatoes, rye bread, coffee and dessert. For information, call 684-2373. . . .
