Ian R. "Bud" Hudson, retired president of Hudson Plastering Corp., died last Wednesday in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst, after a brief illness. He was 85.
Born in Buffalo, Mr. Hudson graduated from Bennett High School.
He was president of Hudson Plastering Corp., a commercial plastering and acoustical tile company, from 1939 until closing the business in 1982 and retiring.
From 1942 to 1945, he served in the Army and reached the rank of master sergeant. He was stationed in England.
Mr. Hudson was a volunteer at the Snyder Fire Department, and he was a life member of the Hamburg Rod and Gun Club.
His hobbies included golf and trap and skeet shooting.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, the former Jean Short; three daughters, Deborah of Santa Monica, Calif., Leslie Hudson-Tolles of Newtown, Conn., and Prudence of Strander, Ohio; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be scheduled.
