California's 13-year-old professional skateboard sensation, Apryl Woodcock, will be appearing and performing at Xtreme Wheels Indoor Skate Park on Oct. 1. Only skating for three years, she is ranked seventh in the world and considered "the female Tony Hawk."

BASEBALL: Inferno Baseball is accepting teams and individuals for the Arena/Target (Hitting) leagues. Games are 1 1/2 hours long. The first session begins in late October. Contact Neal Turvey at 681-3001 or go to www.infernobaseball.com.

BASKETBALL: The Blessed Sacrament Athletic Association will be registering girls and boys in grades 3-12 for its fall basketball leagues on Friday, and Oct. 3-5 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the parish center, 263 Claremont Ave., in the Town of Tonawanda. Seventh- and eight-graders are required to show town residency for the town league only. There is no town residency required for the house league, PAL leagues and girls AAU league. SOCCER: The Lancaster Depew Soccer Club will hold its annual travel league tryout on Sunday at Westwood Park. Children born between Aug. 1, 1997 and July 31, 1996 will meet from 1-2:30 p.m. while children born between Aug. 1, 1996 and July 31, 1987 will meet from 2:45-4:15 p.m.
