William P. Morlock, a retired railroad engineer, died Saturday in Mercy Hospital. He was 82.
Born in Buffalo, the Elma resident was a railroad engineer for Conrail in Lackawanna. He retired in 1985 after 30 years of service.
A veteran of the Army Air Forces in World War II, he was stationed in France and spent time surveying the west coast of Africa.
He was a member of Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Elma.
Mr. Morlock is survived by his wife of 49 years, the former Betty Ann State; four sons, William J. of Buffalo, Bruce A. of Elma, Thomas E. of Rew, Pa., and Glenn P. of Lilburn, Ga.; two sisters; Rosemary Huefner of Cheektowaga and Grace Liebst of Fort Worth, Texas; and three grandchildren.
Prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in Urban-Amigone Funeral Home, 7540 Clinton St., Elma. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 in Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 7580 Clinton St. at Girdle Road, Elma. Burial will be in Marilla Cemetery.
