Ann Marie Engler, 80, a former Williamsville resident, died Sept. 17 in Delray Medical Center in Delray Beach, Fla., after a short illness.
Born Ann Marie Downing in Buffalo, she attended Nativity School and graduated from Nardin Academy in 1942.
For four years until 1947, she worked as an assistant to the supervisor at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York.
She married Edward J. in 1947 and was a homemaker, raising five children.
In 1963, the family moved to Williamsville, where she lived until the couple moved to Delray Beach, Fla., in March 2004.
In addition to her husband of 58 years, survivors include two sons, Michael and Thomas, both of Delray Beach; two daughters, Susan Desiderio of Delray Beach and Ellen van Dorsten of Westport, Conn., and Boca Raton, Fla.; a sister, Margaret Corrigan of Amherst; and six grandchildren.
A memorial Mass will be offered in Delray Beach.
