Services for Victor G. Mellott, of North Tonawanda, a Vietnam War veteran and electrician at Kraft Foods in Buffalo, were held Friday. Burial was in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton.
Mr. Mellott died Tuesday in his home under the care of Niagara Hospice. He was 62.
He was born in Clearfield, Pa., and served with the Navy in Vietnam from 1963 to 1967.
He was a founding member of the Sod Busters golf league in North Tonawanda and an active member of LaSalle Church of Christ in Niagara Falls.
He is survived by his wife, the former Diane A. Donahue, and his mother, Helen M., both of North Tonawanda; two sons, Timothy of Mansfield, Texas, and Douglas of the City of Tonawanda; a daughter, Renee Kinney of Niagara Falls; a brother, S. James of North Tonawanda; and eight grandchildren.
