Edward D. Strough, former millwright Dec. 13, 1913 -- Sept. 20, 2005

NORTH TONAWANDA -- Edward D. Strough, 91, who worked at Bell Aircraft for 25 years, died Tuesday at Weinberg Campus, Getzville, after a long illness.

The North Tonawanda native attended local schools. He was a millwright at the Wheatfield aircraft plant until retiring in 1963.

Mr. Strough was an active member of St. George Orthodox Catholic Church in Buffalo, where he sang in the choir and served on the building and grounds committee.

His wife of 52 years, Anne Dan Strough, died in 1989.

Survivors include a son, John W. of New Orleans; a daughter, Patricia Ann Fiden of North Tonawanda; a brother, William of Somerset, Ky.; a sister, Altena Kaiser of North Tonawanda; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Wattengel Funeral Home, 307 Oliver St. Burial will be in White Chapel Cemetery, Amherst.
