Dunkirk man charged with drug possession
A Dunkirk man was charged Tuesday with drug possession and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle after he was allegedly found in possession of a stolen car and a quantity of heroin on the city's lower West Side, Buffalo police reported.
Ethan Figueroa, 33, of Lake Shore Drive, was discovered by the stolen 1997 Mazda's owner, who was a family member, inside of the car at Maryland Street and Whitney Place. Police found heroin on Figueroa when he was arrested, according to reports.
Last kidnap suspect arrested in parking lot
JAMESTOWN -- The final suspect in Monday's carjacking and attempted kidnapping here has been captured, Jamestown police said.
Ben McCormack, 20, of Irving Place, was arrested Wednesday morning in the parking lot of the Tops Market at Washington and 18th streets.
McCormack and three others are accused of abducting Justin Carlson, 19, of Jamestown, early Monday and threatening to kill him if his friends didn't give them money. Each has been charged with robbery, conspiracy and unlawful imprisonment.
Police said Carlson was involved in a drug deal with the four. He was found tied up next to his vehicle about 1 a.m. in Bergman Park.
