Genevieve H. Pfohl Sept. 4, 1911 -- Sept. 19, 2005

SANBORN -- Genevieve Sciuk Himmelback Pfohl, a Sanborn hairdresser, died Monday in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a brief illness. She was 94.

Born Genevieve Sciuk in Niagara Falls, she attended local schools. She graduated from beauty school and had her own business as a hairdresser.

Mrs. Pfohl was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Newfane Golden Agers Club and was a former member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, North Ridge.

She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading and cards.

She and Rudolph Himmelback were married in 1930. He died in 1964. She married Adolph Pfohl in 1976. He died in 1989.

Survivors include a son, Lawrence Himmelback of Ransomville; a daughter, Jean Walck of Sanborn; a stepson, Calvin Pfohl of Sanborn; two stepdaughters, Marjorie Miller and Audrey Johnson, both of Sanborn; and two brothers, Frank Sciuk of Niagara Falls and William Sciuk of Boca Raton, Fla.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 6168 Walmore Road. Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, North Ridge, Cambria.
