Dolores Rose Bauer, of Akron, died Monday in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst, after a brief illness. She was 75.
Born Dolores Hibit in Buffalo, she was a graduate of East High School. She worked for Conax Corp. for about 10 years as a nuclear assembler, retiring in 1989.
Mrs. Bauer was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church in Akron. Her interest in her Polish heritage led her to join the Niagara Frontier Folk Art Council, where she served as president. She also served on the African Cultural Society board in Buffalo for 20 years.
Survivors include three sons, Paul J. of Sierra Vista, Ariz., Kenneth of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Mark of Buffalo; a sister, Dorothy Bykowski of Akron; a brother, James Hibit of Clarence; a grandson; and a great-grandson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Childs Funeral Home, 10 Eckerson Ave., Akron. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
