Burt Sellers, Crystal Beach, Ont., historian and former principal of Maryvale Middle School, will speak about the beach's history when Buffalo Chapter of Alpha Sigma Alpha has a supper of Crystal Beach food at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the home of Mary Beth Orsotits in Fort Erie, Ont. The chapter's philanthropic project for the year is Kevin Guest House.

Sandy Beach Yacht Club will honor its commodore, Gary Conschafter, and his wife, Gail, at the Commodore's Ball Oct. 1 in the clubhouse, starting at 6 p.m. with introductions. Dinner at 7 p.m. will precede presentations and dancing to the music of Live Wire. Vice Commodore David and Joanne Fleischman are chairmen.
