Taking NeXt on vacation

We asked readers to take NeXt on vacation this summer, and NeXt traveled all over the place: to Croatia, the Arctic Circle and for the first time ever, a NASCAR race. Thanks to all who sent photos!

Joshu Creel, 10, of Orchard Park holds NeXt on the shore of Lake Michigan, between the Adler Planetarium and the Shedd Aquarium, with the Chicago skyline in the background.

From left, East Amherst residents Mallorie Reinecke, 15, and Briana Reinecke, 13, took NeXt to Chicago's Millennium Park with cousins Peter and William White, both 13.

From left, area residents Ashley Norton, 18, Caitlin Courtade, 14, Rachel Norton, 13, Lauren Courtade, 10, and Erin Kelly, 18, hold NeXt at the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse in North Carolina. The lighthouse is the tallest in the U.S. and was moved 100 feet a few years ago by a company from Buffalo.

Above, Eden residents Bridget Kerwin, 19, Neal, 15, and Lee, 9, took NeXt to the Marketplace 400 NASCAR race in Brooklyn, Mich.

Eden resident Katherine Prokop, 16, holds NeXt on Ka'anapoli Beach on Maui, Hawaii.

NeXt went to the far north, to see the Alaska pipeline and the Arctic Circle with 10-year-old twins Ashley (above left)and Elaine Materise of East Amherst.
