MILITARY NOTE: Army Reserve Pvt. Thomas A. Morgan, a 2001 graduate of Olean High School, has completed the light-wheeled vehicle Mechanic Advanced Individual Training course at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. The course trains soldiers to perform maintenance, trouble-shoot and repair wheeled vehicles and related mechanical components. He is the son of Thomas G. and Jean L. Morgan of Olean. . . .
FALL FESTIVAL -- The Altar & Rosary Society of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Warsaw and Electric streets, in Lackawanna, will host a fall festival from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 9, at the church.
The tab for the Polish dinners at noon will be $8. A TRASH 'N' TREASURES sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 8, in the fellowship hall at University United Methodist Church, 410 Minnesota Ave. Lunch will be available from 11:30 to 1.
