Multiple charges filed by estranged wife
A 28-year-old Buffalo man was arrested Monday on charges that he held his estranged wife against her will and tried to force her to have sex with him, police said.
Tomell A. Hasidi, also known as Antonio Jackson, of French Road, was charged with felony attempted sexual act, unlawful imprisonment, assault and harassment.
Ferry-Fillmore District police said the incident occurred at about 9:30 a.m. in the upper apartment at 289 French. They said Hasidi placed a chair in the doorway, blocking the woman from leaving his home. Police also said Hasidi closed the door on the woman's arm, causing her pain and swelling, and refused to let her leave until she had sex with him.
3 allegedly tried to rob victim 2 more times
Three Buffalo men are accused of assaulting and robbing a South Park Avenue man at his home on Sept. 10 and then returning twice on Monday, trying to kick in his door and steal more property, police said.
Police charged Jason R. Smith, 23, also known as Jason Magadino, and Michael S. Bieleski, 32, the victim's neighbors in a rooming house at 2281 South Park, with robbery and two counts of attempted burglary. A third man is still being sought. South District police said the attack occurred at about 4:55 p.m. Sept. 10 in an apartment at 2281 South Park. The victim was repeatedly punched and his head was slammed into a wall. The attackers stole $120.
At about 10:15 p.m. Monday, three men tried to kick in the victim's door and again around midnight, police said.
