CELEBRATING MANPOWER: Young men 13 and older and their parents or guardians are invited to a discussion program titled "Manpower: It's Time to Stand Up," sponsored by Planned Parenthood of Buffalo and Erie County, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the Buffalo Museum of Science on Humboldt Parkway. Young men and adults may register at 831-2200, Ext. 5925. The program is intended to encourage responsible life choices by featuring "honest, factual discussion in an open and frank environment for young men who are often unintentionally left out of the teen pregnancy prevention dialogue," organizers say.

INTERNATIONAL FEST: Six Flags Darien Lake will celebrate cultures from around the world with an international festival of dance ensembles, food vendors and crafts from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday and again Oct. 1 and 2. Local contestants can compete for cash and prizes in eating competitions. Dunay Ukrainian Dance Ensemble, Rince Na Tiarna, Little Poland Dance Ensemble, McCarthy School of Irish Dance and Desert Rhythms Middle Eastern Dance will perform. "Quiz Master" Dennis George will hold an international game show. Tickets are $13.99 at Wegmans.

BILLS GRANTS: The Buffalo Bills will award $25,000 in grants to student-initiated community service projects. Students 13 to 21 can apply for grants up to $5,000 through the Junior Community Quarterback program for new or ongoing projects and kids under 13 may apply for grants up to $300 in the team's Student All-Star Grant programs. SINGERS WANTED: The Niagara Fine Arts Program will hold voice auditions at 9 a.m. Saturday in Room 210 of the Niagara Arts & Cultural Center at 1201 Pine Ave. in Niagara Falls for kids in grades 5 to 12 interested in joining its Spirit of Niagara youth performance ensemble for holiday programs from Thanksgiving through Christmas. Participants must prepare a vocal selection of their choice. Dance auditions start at 10 a.m. Rehearsals begin Oct. 1. For audition information, call Patrick M.
