Edgar Richardson III, a former maintenance worker, died Saturday in Sisters Hospital after a long illness. He was 45.
Mr. Richardson was a lifelong Buffalo resident and graduated from Bennett High School in the late 1970s. He worked in maintenance at Bryant & Stratton until a disability forced him to leave work in 1998.
Mr. Richardson enjoyed college and professional sports and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include two daughters, Jazzmond and Jayana; two sons, Khaled and Ajin; his parents, Edgar and Ethel; and two sisters, Brenda McCoy and Gail Washington, all of Buffalo; two brothers, Christopher of Jacksonville, N.C., and Paul of Newark, Del.; two grandchildren; and longtime companion Melanie Harris of Buffalo.
Services will be at noon Thursday in Emmanuel Temple, 151 Richmond Ave., after a wake at 11. Burial will be in St. Matthew's Cemetery, West Seneca.
