A Celebration of Life for Dennis Luther Brown, an accountant and student at the University at Buffalo, will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Walls Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, 455 Glenwood Ave. Burial will be in Forest Lawn.
Mr. Brown, a native of Buffalo, died Saturday in Buffalo General Hospital after a long illness. He was 38.
He graduated from Bennett High School in 1986 with a certificate of completion in fashion clothing and textiles that he had received from Buffalo Vocational Technical Center.
Mr. Brown graduated with an associate's degree in accounting in 1995 from Erie Community College (City Campus).
From 1987 to 2001, he was an employee of McDonald's Restaurants in Western New York. He moved from an entry-level position to manager. He also was employed as a bookkeeper for the Fruit Belt Neighborhood House in the late 1990s.
He enjoyed cooking, camping, league bowling and taking trips to the Dominican Republic, Mexico, the Bahamas, Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.
Survivors include his mother, Gertrude of Buffalo; a sister,
Jacqueline of Buffalo; and two brothers, Leroy of Grayslake, Ill., and Lawrence of Buffalo.
