Stacey Ann Scott, a corporate recruiter, died Saturday in the Center for Hospice & Palliative Care, Cheektowaga, after a brief illness. She was 38.
Born Stacey Ray in Buffalo, she lived in Clarence Center. She graduated from Sweet Home High School and Medaille College and attended Canisius College.
Mrs. Scott worked for Greater Buffalo Savings Bank the past year and previously recruited for Advantage Professionals.
She was co-chairwoman of the 2000 LaSallian fund-raiser at St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute and enjoyed reading and international travel. She followed the Buffalo Bills, Sabres and New York Yankees.
Survivors include her husband, William H. Jr.; a stepdaughter, Molly of San Francisco; two stepsons, William of Orchard Park and Drew of Philadelphia; her father, Donald C. Ray of East Amherst; her mother, Marguerite S. Ray of Williamsville; a sister, Susan E. Basil of Hamburg; and a brother, Andrew D. Ray of Amherst.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Thursday in Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 8550 Main St., Clarence. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
