Michael T. Duggan, a longtime employee of HSBC Bank, died Thursday in his Town of Tonawanda home after a lengthy illness. He was 56.
Born in Batavia, Mr. Duggan was a graduate of Canisius High School. He received an associate's degree in business from Bryant & Stratton Business Institute.
Since 1972, Mr. Duggan had been a credit manager for HSBC in downtown Buffalo.
His interests included music, concerts and political discussions.
Survivors include his wife, the former Julie S. Lennon; a daughter, Heather M. of the Town of Tonawanda; three stepdaughters, Lesley A. Battaglia of Buffalo, Mary Beth Hawkins of Seekonk, Mass., and Gretchen M. Weiss of Benton, N.H.; two sons, Robert M. of the Town of Tonawanda and Mark T. of Dunkirk; a stepson, Peter M. Schaus of Buffalo; his mother, Mary B. of Buffalo; four sisters, Kathleen M. Becker of Grand Island, Maureen D. Ouellette of Terryville, Conn., and Sheila D. Lanz and Eileen D. Saracino, both of Buffalo; two brothers, Kevin W. of Williamsville and Patrick F. of Grand Island; and five grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered today in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Town of Tonawanda, after prayers in Dengler & Roberts Funeral Home, Kenmore. Burial was in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Town of Tonawanda.
