Former Niagara Falls resident Virginia M. Duncan died Friday in Schoellkopf Health Center after a long illness. She was 86.
Born in Niagara Falls, she was a graduate of St. Mary's High School. She owned and operated Virginia's Coffee Shop on Highland Avenue during the 1950s. She was an artist, painting mostly woodland scenes, and she enjoyed traveling.
Mrs. Duncan was a member of the Cerebral Palsy Association of Niagara County support group.
Her husband, Golden A. Duncan, died in 1988.
Survivors include four sons, Kenneth A. of Lewiston, David G. and Michael B., both of the Town of Niagara, and John Francis of Niagara Falls; a sister, Katherine Wrobleski of Niagara Falls; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 8:30 p.m. Monday in Rhoney Funeral Home, 1124 Ontario Ave., Niagara Falls.
