Private services will be held for Robert C. Sparks, who died Saturday in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a short illness. He was 74.
Mr. Sparks was born in Ivanhoe, Va., where he attended local schools.
He served in the U.S. Air Force as an airman first class during the Korean War. He moved to Niagara Falls in 1955 and worked as a laborer at Union Carbide for 25 years before retiring in 1983.
Surviving are his wife of 51 years, the former Freda S. Williams; a son, Roland of Lewiston; a daughter, Karen of Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
