Ronald J. Monteleone died Thursday in Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Buffalo. He was 69.
Born in Warsaw, Mr. Monteleone was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked at Willow Imports in Batavia until 2003. Before that, he worked for Laborer's Union Local 435 in Rochester from 1960 to 1980.
Mr. Monteleone was a former resident of Castile and Perry, and had spent 10 years in Colorado. He was a former member of Perry Vets Club and enjoyed hunting, hiking and gardening.
Survivors include his wife, the former Norma Shetler of Le Roy; three daughters, Rhonda of Silver Springs, Roxanne of Le Roy and Tracy Mayo of Mount Morris; two sisters, Dorothy Gell of Perry and Anne Mummery of Wyoming; two brothers, Thomas of Silver Springs and Walter of Daytona, Fla.; and one grandson.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday in Eaton-Watson Funeral Home, 98 N. Main St., Perry. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Perry.
