Joseph D. Cole March 11, 1957 -- Sept. 12, 2005

Joseph D. Cole, manager of an auto service shop, died unexpectedly Monday in his Strykersville home. He was 48.

Born in Knoxville, Tenn., he moved to this area as a child and graduated from Lancaster High School. Mr. Cole was a manager at Midas Auto Service Experts in Orchard Park for about the last four years, and had worked for other muffler shops in the area.

His interests included bowling and working on cars, and he was a fan of the Buffalo Bills.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Baum Cole; three sons, Joseph D. Jr., Cory and Justin, all of Strykersville; his mother, Betty of Cheektowaga; two sisters, Margaret Boje of West Seneca and Teresa Liberti of Cheektowaga; two brothers, Bill of Marilla and Karl of West Seneca; and a grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at noon Oct. 1 in Spring Garden Park, 3838 Two Rod Road, Marilla.
