Services for David W. Orth, a retired salesman from Cheektowaga, will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday in Danzer, Dangler & Roberts Funeral Home, 5363 Genesee St., Bowmansville.
Mr. Orth died Friday in his Cheektowaga home after a long illness. He was 70.
Born in Buffalo, Mr. Orth attended Technical High School, and was in the Naval Reserve.
He worked as a salesman for L&S Metals in North Tonawanda from 1981 until retiring in 2004.
Mr. Orth had been a Boy Scout leader, and a volunteer firefighter in Depew and Bowmansville.
His first wife, Carol J. Hill, died in the late 1980s.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, the former Eugenia D. King of Cheektowaga; a daughter, Tracy R. of Cheektowaga; two sons, Todd and Kurt, both of Cheektowaga; a stepdaughter, Brenda Knapp of Niagara Falls; a sister, Jeanne D. Stresing of Hamburg; a brother, Robert of Buffalo; and five grandchildren.
