SANBORN -- Sharon Ann Dalton, a writer and accountant, died Tuesday in her Sanborn home after a battle with breast cancer. She was 54.
Born Sharon Ann Brown in Providence, R.I., she moved to Western New York in 1978.
Mrs. Dalton founded the Write Account, a company that reflected her love of writing and accounting. She managed financial accounts for several local businesses and, with her husband, owned and operated Cosmo's Cleaners in Niagara Falls.
She performed for years with local choral groups, most recently the Lockport Chorale. She also collected classical music and enjoyed quilting, crocheting and gardening.
Mrs. Dalton was a devoted sports fan and collector of sports trivia.
Surviving are her husband of 36 years, Richard M. Sr.; a daughter, Kimberley A. Lacouture of Rochester; a son, Richard M. Jr. of Henrietta; her mother, Madelyn C. Brown of Pascoag, R.I.; two sisters, Barbara J. Hearn of Pequea, Pa., and Janet I. Brown of Sarasota, Fla.; two brothers, Richard K. Brown of Portsmouth, R.I., and William F. Brown of Chepachet, R.I.; and four grandsons.
Services will be at 9 a.m. today in DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Niagara Falls. Burial in Mount View Cemetery will be private.
